Water Resource Management

Our company is committed to the efficient use of water resources and implements water-saving measures in daily operations. Specific actions include :

1. Installation of sensor-activated faucets : Sensor-activated faucets are installed at wash basins to conserve water.
2. Reduction of irrigation volume : The watering of greenery and plants within factory premises is reduced without affecting plant growth.
3. Enhancement of 5S management : Factory cleanliness is maintained through improved 5S practices, thereby reducing the frequency of cleaning activities and overall water consumption.

Waste Management

The company has established energy-saving and waste-reduction policies and has installed recycling bins to facilitate waste classification. Clear targets are set for the use of various resources, which are reviewed and improved on a regular basis. All pollutant discharges comply with applicable laws and regulations and are subject to periodic inspections. Waste oil generated during machinery operations is handled by certified waste disposal companies.

During the product manufacturing process, cleaning agents used in cleaning operations avoid substances regulated under domestic or international standards (such as ozone-depleting substances). Less toxic alternatives are adopted to reduce environmental impact and minimize the risk of employee exposure to hazardous chemicals. All domestic wastewater is conveyed via pipelines to wastewater treatment plants for proper treatment.

In 2024, water usage decreased by 354 metric tons compared to 2023, representing a reduction of 2%. Within the constraints of technical, economic, and operational feasibility, the company continues to promote water reduction initiatives, with a target of at least a 1% reduction by 2025, using 2021 as the baseline year.

Compared to 2023, Scope 1 emissions in 2024 decreased by 34.87 metric tons, while Scope 2 emissions decreased by 211.20 metric tons. This reduction was primarily attributable to a decline in revenue, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to minimizing environmental impact despite economic challenges.

The company’s Taiwan headquarters has successfully obtained ISO 14064-1 certification for three consecutive years, reflecting its ongoing efforts to align with international carbon reduction trends. Using 2021 as the baseline year, the company has developed carbon reduction strategies and action plans, setting a target of a 1% reduction in carbon emissions by 2025.
